It Seems That  there Exist no Dictionary Under The Sun That Can Well Explain  who You Are

Well, i happened to attend the Confucius Day celebrations that occur annually in the Chinese lunar calendar, this event was  also held in Kenyatta University for its affiliation with  a Chinese institute.

When i arrived at the exact venue of this event on my right i saw metallic weather beaten seats and on my left there were some comfortable seats meticulously arranged with a red carpet placed at the same place. And they were properly labelled “SEATS RESERVED FOR V.I.Ps

It was quite obvious that i wouldn’t sit on those seats that were labelled VIP.

And the big question is why?

And then who is this V.I.P?
Well i was not an invited guest and i knew.
But am pretty sure that you know  that  a V. I. P is a very important person.

But then who determines whether some one is or not a V.I.P?

Who gave them that role?

Are themselves VIPs?

In front of the woman who brought me to this world-my mom , she views me as her VIP regardless of what else another person may  take me for.

In a university, a student views a vice chancellor to be his/her VIP.

Now a VIP is not determined by amount of labels put on them, some people no matter what amount of exclusion you put on them  they still know that they are VIPS.

other  people no matter what amount of labels you put on them it will never make them VIPS.

hSo to generalize the matter  its up  on  you to know that regardless of who you may look to be to a person there is always someone somewhere who views you as a  VIP  and secretly admires you.

You may not have a lot of wealth

You may just be a commoner

Not known to many

You might be knocked down by humiliation and disappointments but that should not diminish your value. There is something you are good at.

Remember a dead clock shows correct time twice  a day so even at your worse there is something you can do and do it so well.

Don’t take yourself to be a lesser being because you do not know what i know or what another person knows you are equally gifted elsewhere.

That’s  why i do not judge a fish for its inability to climb a tree for i do not want to make it feel stupid.
Negative mindset is the cause of all of our downfalls.
The battle of mind is the greatest battle to ever win.
Back to our Big Question.. Who defines you?

All i meant is the person who defines who you are – is you

It’s not your colleagues, its not your parents, its not your spouse

It’s you and trails that you leave behind.
But all this starts as a mind set in your mind. The moment you say that its possible so it becomes
The moment you say it’s hard so it becomes and believe me nothing is going to change if your mind won’t change first and too change for better.

In order to be a thing you have to also know what it is to NOT be the thing.

Focus not where you ARE but where you are not

Drop your labels, they do not Define you.

See past horizon and you it will just feel  like its a walk in  the park.

Do have  a lovely time as you contemplate that.

Define Yourself.

Something to ponder on. If people’s mindsets would change.. Everything is vanity including that importantly important person Kelvin but what defines you is who you really are, and the refusal to be defined by the standards men of the world have set. I love this piece.
